Wellbeing Taster Trio

Not all business has big budgets so we have this great introduction offer.

This inspiring trio helps you and your colleagues stay healthy and well. As we know, a healthy and engaged workforce is the cornerstone to any progressive and effective business. Based on essential aspects of our daily lives, such as what we eat and drink, the quality of our sleep, our ability to destress and the way we hold and move our bodies, this series of talks focuses on how to make good choices from a self-care perspective. They offer practical tools and encourage habit changes to develop greater personal health and resilience, and sit perfectly alongside the workplace learning bursts. The 3 topics cover these areas and are run as a series at times to suit your workplace wellbeing programme:

Sleep, Relaxation and Energy

This workshop addresses why sleep and relaxation play such a vital role in good health, cognitively, emotionally and in people’s general day-to-day ability to function. As sleep ‘problems’ are fast becoming an epidemic, we offer tips and tools to enhance the quality and duration of sleep and importantly, look at the effects of daytime routines and habits in affecting people’s sleep patterns. We also focus on the healthy ways to conserve and boost our energy levels throughout the day, improving our sleep-wake cycle.

Food & Mood

IPeople who are feeling below par, exhausted, anxious or unrefreshed no longer need to take a passive approach. There is much compelling evidence about the links between food and our nerves, brain and digestion and thus our mood. In this session, we explore some useful biology about the essential relationship between good digestion and our natural energy levels and emotions. We also look at particular food groups and offer some great tools to help people take back the control of how they feel.

Good Posture for Hybrid Working

When I go through the most essential tools we have at our disposal to influence our health and wellbeing, posture is always forgotten, and yet it is so very critical for the optimal functioning of our bodies. Good posture is ‘the correct alignment of body parts supported by the right amount of muscle tension against gravity’ so in this very practical workshop, we consider both aspects; the alignment and the muscle tension, with easy exercises to do at your desk. We also look at the negative effects of bad posture, especially with so many people now sedentary for much of the day.
